Starting fresh in Impossible Animals can be confusing if you don't understand how facilities link together. This guide walks you through your first 15 minutes to guarantee you establish steady idle cash without losing creatures.

The 4-Step Core Loop

Everything in the game revolves around four simple actions:

  1. Fuse: Stand on the central fusion pedestal. Click your first animal (e.g. Axolotl) and your second animal (e.g. Dragonfly). Watch the 3D generation animation.
  2. Save: When the result screen appears showing your hybrid's star rating and $/s income, immediately click the blue "SAVE HYBRID" button. Once saved, the button changes to SAVED ✓, and the creature begins walking around your pen, earning cash every second.
  3. Train: Step onto the treadmill facility. While on the treadmill, your creature gains XP continuously (e.g., Level 1 to Level 2 requires 100 XP). Higher levels provide the attack power and HP required for combat.
  4. Rescue: Step through the portal into The Wild. Defeat the enemies in Grasslands to unlock a new cage, allowing you to pick a brand-new animal ingredient.

Key System Functions: Pen vs Treadmill

  • The Pen: Holds your saved creatures. Passive cash accumulates every second online and offline based on each creature's $/s rate.
  • The Treadmill: Grants direct creature XP per second. Upgrades increase XP gain speed.

When Each System Matters

  • First 5 Minutes: Focus 100% on Pen occupancy. Even $1/s starters add up to your first $500.
  • 5 to 15 Minutes: Move to Treadmill training. Reach Level 10 before attempting Desert.

Common Pitfalls & How to Avoid Them

  • Clicking "New Fusion" Before "Save Hybrid": If you click New Fusion before Save Hybrid, your newly created creature is lost!
  • Pen Capacity Cap: Evict low-earning starters as soon as your pen fills up.
  • Entering The Wild Untrained: Combat requires levels, not just stars. Always train on the treadmill first.
